Last Sunday, in advance of the current SF-Angels interleague series, broadcaster Dave Flemming said fans would get a chance to revisit the 2002 World Series. Believe me, Dave, no Giant fan wants to revisit that heart-wrenching loss.

Tyson vs. 'Tyson': Final round

There's a myth within the myth of former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. The myth within the myth goes something like this. The 19-year-old Tyson lost his savior and mentor, Cus D'Amato, when D'Amato died in 1985 at the age of 77, and Tyson never got over it.

Best Lakers team ever?

These kinds of things are so subjective -- there is no right or wrong answer, after all -- but also good conversation starters among pro hoops fans. Taking nothing away from all those excellent Lakers teams in the 1980s with Kareem, Magic and Worthy, I say the greatest Lakers team ever was the 1971-72 version.
